WHERE EGYPT MEETS POLITICS
Egypt, 2012.

May, June.

Egyptian elections: a two-month long public spectacle with more than a dozen candidates campaigning, and an additional month of demonstrations, conferences and burnt headquarters before the run-off between the brother Mohamed Morsi and the felool Ahmed Shafik. Morsi took over the power from a military council that has governed Egypt since February 2011, when Hosni Mubarak fell from power and the democratic process unravelled. (Black and white)
